Richard Austin Alloys has bought a 2.2-acre development plot on Irlam’s Northbank Industrial Park from North Cheshire Development for £730,000.
Represented by LM6, North Cheshire has offloaded the site which sits between Cadishead Way and Brinall Road. Irlam-based Richard Austin Alloys is now planning to build a 30,000 sq ft facility on the site in the new year as it looks to expand its operations.
Other occupiers at Northbank include Omega Engineering, Perkins Engines, UPS, Werit and Molnlycke Healthcare. Last week, Property Alliance Group signed up builders and plumbers’ merchant Markovitz Group to a 17,000 sq ft unit on a five-year lease.
Phil Morley of LM6 said: “This is the perfect location for Richard Austin Alloys’ expansion as it puts them firmly in the heart of the region’s manufacturing and industrial activity, with a strong labour market on the doorstep.
Not only are they surrounded by many leading firms in the sector but they will be in an excellent location to access both the M6 and M60 motorways.”
