Industrial space around the North West’s ‘prime motorway locations’ is seeing continuing demand according to a regional expert.
A deal to let 24,288 sq ft of space at Knowsley’s Nexus Industrial Estate is said to be further evidence of the trend.
Newly formed distribution company Ascent Transport will move into Unit 1 at the site, where it will base up to 20 staff, having secured a five-year lease.
The firm distributes a range of products nationally, including computer accessories, pet care products and IT equipment.
Anthony O’Keefe of commercial agent LM6, which let the property on behalf of owner Tilstone Industrial Ltd, says: “Following the recent acquisition of the 185,000 sq ft Nexus Industrial Estate, Tilstone has undertaken lease re-gears with key occupiers and invested in a number of building improvements.
“The interest shown in the site and in this letting is further evidence of the continued demand for quality space around the North West’s prime motorway locations.”
Michael Jones of Tilstone Industrial adds: “We are delighted to have let this unit to Ascent and are currently working with a number of other key tenants to upgrade their space.
“We are also discussing with Knowsley Council a further 35,000 sq ft of new build warehouse and industrial space which will be available to buy or let.”
LM6 and B8RE represented Tilstone Industrial Ltd in the deal.
